Phoka Nunnery of St. Nino
The Typikon of the nunnery is based on the traditional monastic life-style and takes the local environment peculiarities into consideration, which is the cause of its formation in the existing form of keeping the nunnery existing unchanged over more than 20 years.
A divine service plays central role in life of the nunnery. Prayer services are followed by works in the nunnery normal life, daily schedule of which is called the Typikon. Each day starts at 02:00 by the morning prayer the divine service and ends at 22:00. Meals are prepared twice a day (breakfast and dinner are called meals).
The remaining hours are occupied by work (obedience) and leisure time.

02:00 – 06:00 Morning prayer (tenebrae)
06:00 – 08:00 Rest in the cell
08:00 – 10:00 Preparation for the obedience and meal
10:00 – 10:30 Meal
10:30 – 16:00 Obedience
16:00 – 16:30 Meal
16:30 – 18:00 Obedience
18:00 – 19:00 Evening prayer
19:00 – 22:00 Leisure time
22:00 – 02:00 Rest
